Again, the corona virus has consequences for the publication of a bearer of hope in the gaming sector: CrossfireX cannot be brought onto the market as planned.
Smilegate Entertainment and Remedy have now officially confirmed that the shooter hope CrossfireX can no longer be released this year as planned. The title should have been released for Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S in the coming weeks, but nothing will come of it now.
While Remedy is putting together the game’s single-player campaign, Smilegate is responsible for the multiplayer component. In both cases, CrossfireX won’t be finished this year. Reason: COVID-19 of course. Due to the pandemic, new challenges were faced in development, which is why the difficult decision has now been made to postpone the release.

CrossfireX should not come onto the market until 2021, but meet the high demands of the two developers. A more specific new date was not yet mentioned in the statement for the moment.
CrossfireX joins a whole bunch of video games that cannot be published as planned due to the corona virus. Often this is also because many developer studios also work from home and that poses organizational challenges in terms of collaboration and the development process.
