Anime streaming provider Crunchyroll experienced a widespread disruption on Tuesday afternoon. More than 1,000 users report to us that they are having problems with the service.
For some anime fans, the frustration level might be over 9,000 on Tuesday afternoon. The anime streaming service Crunchyroll has been struggling with a disruption since around 4:30 p.m. According to the incoming fault reports, well over 1,000 users are affected.
Most often, those affected apparently have difficulties even logging into the streaming platform. But a significant number of anime fans also tell us that they can log in but can no longer stream properly. At least a small number also report problems with the Crunchyroll website. We checked, but at least we couldn’t find any problems with the website other than slightly longer waiting times.
Apparently not all users are affected
We therefore assume that not all users are affected. You may be able to help yourself by switching from the browser to the Crunchyroll app or vice versa. If you can’t fix the problem, you should try logging in or streaming again at regular intervals. With a bit of luck, the situation will recover quickly.
