After many years without news about the franchise, Crytek announced just a few days ago the premiere of Crysis Remastered, the improved version of the classic shooter that set a precedent in graphic quality in its time. According to one of the developers at Saber Interactive, co-creators of this remastering, the game would feature more than one single-player campaign, hinting that it would also include the Warhead expansion, but Crytek has denied this claim.
Through a statement on the portal Reverse
It stands to reason that if remasters of the other installments in the Crysis series are in the works, they'll be released separately, but it's weirder that Crysis Remastered doesn't have the Warhead expansion. This additional content of the PC version is highly valued by the community and It would have been a great added value for console players who could not play it in its day
Crysis Remastered will come out on sale for Xbox One, PC, PS4 and Nintendo Switch, but at the moment it has no confirmed release date.
