Cyberpunk 2 aims to fix one of the biggest flaws of the first game with a new crowd management system, and CD project is currently seeking professionals to develop it.
Cyberpunk 2 Will Feature Hyper-Realistic Crowds
It’s hard to believe that nearly five years have passed since Cyberpunk 2077 launched on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Despite its rocky debut, the game was gradually refined into a polished gem.
The massive success of CD Project's Rpg has led to inevitable franchise expansion, including its own anime, another one in development, and a new game set to release in the coming years.

While the studio is hard at work on Cyberpunk 2 (keeping details under wraps), new insights have surfaced regarding the technical ambitions behind the sequel.
The sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 aims to introduce “the most realistic and reactive crowd system ever created in a game.”
At least, that’s the goal set by CD projectas outlined in a job listing for its Boston-based studio developing the game. The listing also confirms that the sequel will retain its first-person perspective.
CD projekt red's official X/Twitter account recently shared this job opening, along with six others, including a lead encounter designer to help strengthen the team working on Cyberpunk 2.

This professional will collaborate closely with the systems design team, with crowd management being one of their top priorities.
It’s clear that Cyberpunk 2 aims to surpass its predecessor in every way, especially from a technical standpoint. More importantly, the sequel is determined to avoid the mistakes that plagued Cyberpunk 2077.
Shaping Combat and Multiplayer Elements
Despite offering a vibrant Night City bustling with inhabitants, the first game was riddled with bugs and glitches, leading to countless memes and viral videos highlighting its flaws.
Even after numerous patches and updates, NPC behavior remained inconsistent, with reaction issues and other persistent bugs affecting the latest versions of Cyberpunk 2077.
The responsibilities of the newly hired designer won’t end with crowd systems. They will also be tasked with shaping the game’s combat, ensuring that encounters are dynamic and engaging within Cyberpunk 2.

Specifically, this professional will create “memorable battles and encounters, whether based on pre-defined narrative, environment, or gameplay themes.”
Among the other job postings at CD project was a position focused on designing “both single-player and multiplayer systems,” hinting that the sequel could include the multiplayer modes that were scrapped from the original game.
All of this sounds incredibly promising, but there’s a catch—fans will need to be patient. Cyberpunk 2 is not expected to launch anytime soon, especially since The Witcher 4 is set to arrive first.
