With its recent patch and release on next-gen consoles, Cyberpunk 2077 is now in the news. The opportunity for a modder to reveal their latest creation, allowing you to play the game in virtual reality… with monster efficiency.

We all know the journey of Cyberpunk 2077: Launching in December 2020, the game will have come under the fire of murderous criticism for its dramatic state on home consoles (then PS4 and Xbox One) and not so much better on PC. Thankfully, water has since flowed under the bridges and CD Projekt has worked hard to recreate the experience: Recently, the Polish company even delivered a new update to perfect everything, simultaneously with a release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
Inevitably, the title once again speaks of him: The moment therefore seemed opportune for Luke Bross, a modder, to lift the veil on one of his works in progress… namely a VR mod for the famous RPG. Named “REAL VR”, you can immerse yourself in the heart of Nighty City in virtual reality, which is obviously possible on PC. And the result is uplifting, as you can see right there.

The video sets the tone: The immersion promises to be terrific and most importantly it’s frankly amazing to see how playable everything seems to be. To develop a mod (absolutely amateurish and therefore unofficial) in this quality and also usable is of course to be emphasized.
However, it should be noted that the mod is not free: in order to access early access, you must subscribe to the mod Patreon from the developer, which costs nine dollars a month. This also provides access to another particularly popular VR mod, that of the famous Red Dead Redemption II. In the same vein, he also released a similar patch for Grand Theft Auto V. which, coupled with a Logitech steering wheel, offers a pretty stunning rendering… Suffice it to say the cutout below heralds the colour.
