After many hopes, players were disappointed with the release of Cyberpunk 2077: The performance on consoles left a lot to be desired – which is why CD Projekt RED had to endure a huge shitstorm. In the meantime, the studio is quite satisfied with the status of the game.
Half a year has now passed since the release of Cyberpunk 2077 and only now developer CD Projekt RED is also satisfied with the performance of the game. Just stupid that it took a huge shitstorm and tons of dissatisfied players who had to deal with jerks and bugs – at least on consoles.
As part of the WSE Innovation Day, CEO Adam Kicinski went into this topic again and indicates that he now feels good with the quality level of the game. When asked about the stability and the performance, he says: “We have reached a satisfactory level in this matter. We have also worked on improving the overall quality – and we are quite happy with that. Of course we have also removed bugs and visuals Fixed glitches – we will continue to do so. Over time, we also want to make some improvements to the general game systems that players have asked for. “
In short: The condition of Cyberpunk 2077 has improved noticeably months after its release. However, this was obviously bought at the expense of some employees, because they allegedly denounced the “unrealistic expectations” of management in an internal meeting. Overall, the reputation of the Witcher makers suffered noticeably from the messed up release of Cyberpunk 2077.
In the meantime, Cyberpunk 2077 has also returned to the PlayStation Store, where it has not been sold for months due to the problems.
