Cyberpunk 2077 really hasn’t had an easy history after a failed launch, as well as many patches and postponements. But now the game is experiencing a second spring again.
What a story. We all remember that the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 was anything but successful. Countless technical issues, nearly unplayable old-gen versions, and endless bugs have pretty much eroded the developers’ reputations. After all, after a number of patches things went up recently, update 1.5 brought the game forward again.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now experiencing another second spring, at least on Steam, and has reached the current top of the most played single-player titles, pushing past Elden Ring and Path of Exile.
The game certainly benefits not only from current discount campaigns, but from the fact that it is currently receiving a lot of attention. On the one hand, update 1.6 has just been released, which fixes a number of problems and brings some new features into play. On the other hand, the announcement of the Phantom Liberty expansion for the coming year attracted attention.
The start of the Netflix anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunner, which was produced together with CD Projekt RED and was apparently very well received by the fans, certainly has another effect. In addition, update 1.6 also includes a crossover with the series.
So it seems as if the waves around the game are slowly but surely smoothing out again.
