Cyberpunk 2077 may be a huge sales success for CD Projekt RED, but everything else went according to plan. There are many problems for developers to solve. The serious savegame bug has now been tackled.
CD Projekt RED quickly released a hotfix for Cyberpunk 2077 just in time for the holidays. This lifts the game to version number 1.06 and naturally does not have a too large list of changes. Reason: Hotfixes are primarily there to get serious problems under control quickly.
In this case the creators fix the problem with the save states on the PC. Up until now, savegames could be destroyed if their size exceeded 8MB. The hotfix now removes a corresponding memory limit in order to eliminate the problem for the future. Unfortunately, saved games that have already been destroyed cannot be restored in this way.
The hotfix is not only available for the PC, but also for the consoles. On PS4 and Xbox One, memory management is being improved to eliminate certain causes of system crashes. In addition, a problem with the Second Conflict Quest has been fixed on all platforms so that Dum Dum no longer just disappears.
