You have to see this: Cyberpunk 2077 in the Unreal Engine 5!
Cyberpunk 2077 is without a doubt one of the most hyped games of all time. When it finally came out about a year and a half ago, it quickly became clear that it would probably never have lived up to the completely exaggerated expectations.
One point of criticism affected and still affects the look of the science fiction adventure: Quite a few had expected a real graphics revolution, i.e. at least NextGen, mainly thanks to several ray tracing effects. But even that – to be honest – was probably a bit too much to expect.
Unreal Engine 5 is here!
Are we finally getting next-gen graphics in games?
Realistic reflections wherever the eye looks
The Youtube channel Enfant terrible
has now taken on this and resurrected Cyberpunk 2077 in the brand new Unreal Engine 5. And that just looks stunning. But the best thing to do is convince yourself of the graphic splendor:

In the video, which is around two and a half minutes long, the artist shows what is possible with Epic Games’ latest iteration of the Unreal Engine. The high level of detail and the lighting are particularly impressive.
Check out the rainy scene from minute 1:03. This can hardly be distinguished from reality or a film. The reflections of the vehicle lights and the neon signs seem almost tangible. Pay particular attention to the yellow taxi with the red stripe and the reflections on the paintwork of the surroundings that are not in the picture. This is where the Unreal Engine 5 Lumen lighting technology does its work. This includes, among other things, the real-time beam calculation raytracing.

This is how the replica of Cyberpunk 2077 was created in the UE5
Enfant Terrible used Unreal Engine 5 to replicate Cyberpunk 2077 Environment Megapacks
from the Epic Marketplace as well as the MetaHumans Creator
, VFX
and Zbrush
. It’s not really clear how much of Night City he recreated, but judging by the video it must have put many hours of work into it.
How much do you like Cyberpunk 2077 in the UE5? Isn’t it much more than a nice Ugprade or does it blow your mind completely? Write us that in the comments!
