It is official ! The DLC will therefore be called Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty. Release date, teasers, new and old characters, we know that.
Within a few months, CD Projekt RED managed to almost forget the debacle surrounding the launch of Cyberpunk 2077. While the anime dedicated to the game’s universe will be available on Netflix next week, the Polish studio discussed the future of the game and, with it, its first major DLC.
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty, the big DLC is coming in 2023
At the end of the afternoon, CD Projekt RED wanted to take stock of the future of Cyberpunk 2077. The studio knew it was expected at the turn of the subject, so it didn’t come empty-handed. The game will indeed have the rights to a major narrative DLC from 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series, PC and Stadia. It’s called Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty and it will highlight the New United States of America, a new district and a new cast of characters.
Just one for now teasers was broadcast to set the tone. At the end of this presentation, the developers reserved a little surprise for themselves. Yes, Keanu Reeves will be reprising his role as Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077 DLC and he wanted to announce it in person. We have to be content with this little information for the time being. CD Projekt RED should communicate more openly about this extension as development progresses.
