Anyone who continues to play the long-running survival favorite DayZ can look forward to a new addition: the new expansion “Frostline” has been officially announced for this fall.
Bohemai Interactive has announced a new expansion for the long-running survival title DayZ in a press release. The add-on is called “Frostline” and is scheduled to be released in fall 2024.
In the new expansion you can explore the eerie Sakhal Archipelago, where you can let off steam in a proverbial winter wonderland full of dangers. The snowy landscape with dense forests and frozen lakes opens up to you over an area of over 80 square kilometers.
The setting also introduces a new survival dynamic and challenges you to manage heat and resources.
Officially, the most important features of the add-on are stated as follows:
- New terrain: An untouched archipelago where time stands still.
- Winter landscape: A late winter environment.
- Harder Survival: Players must stay warm and hunt for food.
- Environmental hazards: Players experience the dangers of living near volcanic areas.
- Rich Wilderness: New wild animal species adapted to the cold.
- New gameplay mechanics: New diseases and improved fishing mechanics await players.
- Winter cosmetics: Players can dress for the season with winter cosmetics.
DayZ: Frostline does not yet have a specific release date beyond the general indication of autumn 2024. We will keep you up to date!
