Bungie stated that it has been monitoring the reception and behavior of the Destiny 2 phantom system and that it will make minor updates around the system currency.
According to the developer, at the beginning of season 15 Destiny 2, It will abandon the passively earned currency Synthstrand, which players use to purchase transmog (called armor synthesis) bounty from Ada-1.
Instead, 10,000 Glimmer can be used to purchase bounties. It is hoped that this change will reduce the time required to earn 10 Synthweave tokens per occupation per season.
Bungie stated that removing currency will also free up a slot in the consumable inventory bucket. The studio also hopes that this will reduce the complexity of the tranmog system. There is only one currency left for each course, which can be turned in immediately on the Loom of Ada-1 to obtain Synthweave tokens.
With the launch of Season 15, developers will monitor the dialogue and use of armor synthesis.
Synthstrand is a resource required for armor synthesis, called illusion. It appears with the season of Spliter, when you complete the bounty mission or defeat the enemy, you will get this currency along with the other two currencies, Synthcord and Synthweave. These currencies are used to turn the appearance of an armor into a universal armor accessory.
For now, the complex system finds that players need to defeat enemies to get Synthstrand, and Synthstrand needs to buy bounties to generate Synthcord. Then convert it to Synthweave in the loom in the tower. Synthweave is a tool you use to convert the appearance of armor unlocked in your collection into general armor accessories.
Currently, players can only obtain 10 synthetic weaves per profession and season, and general accessories can only be applied to legendary armor. Bungie said that this will change with the start of season 15, when the number will increase to 20.
The current season will end on August 24, which means that season 15 will begin soon.
Players can also look forward to the expansion pack “The Witch Queen”, which Bungie plans to announce at the end of the 14th season on August 24.
