Last Oasis had a bumpy early access release, which the transparently communicating developers got under control with rigorous measures. As a result, the number of players rose again despite a week's server shutdown.
The Polish studio Donkey Crew now wants to continue this policy of open communication and gives an insight into what measures have been taken so far cheater in the nomadic survival MMO.
Hard anti-cheat policy
Customized tactics: According to Steam's contribution, Donkey Crew checks all reports in Last Oasis individually and then initiates countermeasures against the respective cheater. On this basis, the developers also improve the tools they use to identify cheats.
Bans in the hundreds: According to the developer, cheaters in the three-digit range have now been banned. Last Oasis now has between 100 and 999 cheaters less.
Clans also pay: "Attached, caught" is the proverbial saying when punishments are pronounced collectively. Donkey Crew issues a warning to clans that tolerate and benefit from cheaters in their ranks. In this way, clans and all possessions are deleted when fraudsters play along. This also applies to sibling clans, i.e. clans that contain all cheaters but pass on to another clan.

As a little treat for friends of cultivated alienation, the last-oasis developers also dropped a few excuses that they had heard from cheaters. Some excuses are bizarre.
Cheater excuses and the snappy answers
Donkey Crew delivers that directly Answers to the apologiesthat they have heard from fraudsters:
- "Just testing to see how it works is not a valid excuse."
- "No, it wasn't your 1998 joystick that caused it."
- "No, you cannot transfer your possessions to a new account."
- "You are not sorry that you cheated, just that we caught you."
