Every time there is a new generation of consoles we see how in the months prior to the launch its creators tell us the benefits of these. Already in the PS4 and Xbox One campaign we hear that developing on both platforms was relatively easyUnderstandable if we consider the puzzle that was PlayStation 3.
It seems that everything is ongoing and that PlayStation 5 will be an even easier console in which developers should take full advantage of its power
In an interview in Dengeki PlayStation magazine that collects Dualshockers, Yoshida explains that developers are delighted with PS5 and that they had never worked with such an accessible and easy machine. Shu himself acknowledges the problems they had with PS3 and that their successor, PS4, was created with the idea of making it easier for developers.
Shuhei Yoshida added that developers cannot focus on creating games if they need to work on understanding complicated hardware. Therefore, Sony strives to facilitate the maximum development in PlayStation hardware. Yoshida said that is what the company had in mind when doing PS4 and that's what they have in mind for the next PlayStation 5.
PlayStation 5 is still in the shadows, waiting for an event to show the world in style. At the moment we know that in Christmas of 2020 we will have it among us.
