Abandoned is a title full of stories. Hasan Kahraman, the founder of Blue Box Game Studios, had also expressed doubts about his studio’s title. Hence the question. What will become of Abandoned?
A title with a high liability has been abandoned. Hasan Kahraman, the founder of Blue Box Game Studios, had also expressed doubts about his studio’s title, leaving fans in limbo over a possible sequel to Silent Hill or a bigger production at Joakim Mogren with Metal Gear Solid V.
The phantom pain?
Information from our colleagues below game spot report that the development of Abandoned is going through some turbulence and that there will be no games at this time.
Pretty strong claims backed up by testimonies from individuals from the company’s private discord. In fact, members of the private server had to sign NDAs not to reveal any information about the title, and in return Kahraman had to share content like images or even the script of Abandoned.
However, according to our colleagues, Kahraman would have been dishonest to the fans present on the server. The latter actually announced dates or revelations about the game that were supposed to be announced, but nothing happened.
The man at the head of the studio would have said this privately:
paused, development must first be funded with a playable prologue.”
According to sources close to Gamespot, Kahraman was in no rush to work on it, preferring to play Rainbow Six Siege with members of the Discord server late into the night.
Especially the prologue to Abandoned
Of course, the studio has refuted all its accusations against our colleagues from PC gamerindicating that development is ongoing, preferring to blame angry fans who haven’t seen the game.
The FAQ for official page from the studio confirms the above. Indeed, the prologue will fund the further development of the game.
This is also reminiscent of a certain Ground Zeroes and its paid prologue, to stay a little on the subject of Hideo Kojima.
