Last week, Devolver Digital was teasing a new project in collaboration with Ronimo Games, creators of Awesomenauts. Here it is today unveiled.
The publisher Devolver Digital and the developers of Ronimo Games have formalized their new production. Posing as a dungeon crawler multiplayer, Blightbound storytelling the adventures of three heroes leaving their cozy nests to brave the dangers of the Blight, a mysterious evil mist that rots living creatures. This is created by the hand of the fearsome Shadow Titan. Three places will be explored: the Earth with burials, the Fortress of darkness and the dangerous Crest of Blood.
The title will let you enjoy hand-painted characters, various light effects as well as real-time 3D models.
Along your journey, it will notably be a question of confronting a bestiary of mystical enemies and collecting precious spoils. Among more than 20 heroes with unique skills, warriors, assassins or mages will form a team to defeat bosses and solve puzzles. Note that it will be possible to modify their repertoire of attacks and skills by looting and manufacturing new items.
Your refuge, at the top of the mountain, will also be a key place. It will be possible to recruit new artisans who will manufacture objects. The camp can be strengthened by successfully completing missions and training your heroes.
Blightbound will launch in Early Access on PC via Steam in 2020. The development team promises us regular updates including "new mazes to explore, new heroes to embody, or exclusive loot to shamelessly loot. "
