The return of the serial killer: “Dexter: Resurrection” starts soon. Michael C. Hall is back and Dexter's search for his son begins in New York City.

Life -believed life longer – at least in the case of Dexter Morgan. After the serial killer was shot by his son Harrison in the final of “Dexter: New Blood”, his story finally seemed over. But now it is clear: Dexter lives and his story continues.

With “Dexter: Return”, a new series around the blood -stained antihero will start in the summer of 2025. Showtime has not only released a first dark teaser, but also reveals the official start date: Am 11 July Michael C. Hall returns to the screens as Dexter, first in streaming, then on TV.

Dexter wakes up and hunting begins again

The new series “Dexter: Return” starts directly at the end of “New Blood”. Dexter survives the fatally believed shot and wakes up from a coma weeks later, alone and disoriented. Harrison, his son and shooter, has disappeared without a trace. Plagued by feelings of guilt, Dexter sets off to New York to find him and make up for his past.

Strong line -up, new place, familiar darkness

In addition to Michael C. Hall and Jack Alcott, well -known characters return, including David Zayas as Angel Batista and James Remar as Dexter's father Harry. The new cast is top -class: Uma Thurman, Peter Dinklage, Kadia Saraf, Nare Guma Mbaho Mwine and Emilia Suárez are part of the ensemble. Guest appearances by Neil Patrick Harris and Krysten Ritter are also confirmed.

“Dexter: Return” starts on Friday, July 11, 2025, on Paramount+ with a double episode at the start. After that, new episodes appear weekly. The series comprises ten episodes. Directed by Monica Raymund (4 episodes) and Marcos Siega (6 episodes). Production is responsible for Showtime Studios and Counterpart Studios.
