closed beta Diablo 4 It kicks off this weekend, but server stability issues are plaguing many – thankfully, snowstorm A hotfix has been released to help.
If you’re one of the many people who’ve been trying to play Diablo 4 this weekend without much success, you’re not alone. There are some really long queue times that prevent a lot of players from actually being able to play this thing. In particular, console players are struggling, with some unable to queue. But now an update has been released “aimed at fixing and improving queue issues”.
“Sharing an update here with the latest hotfix that was pushed earlier tonight,” community manager filthierich wrote about the update. “This patch contains an update to improve server stability issues. We’ve included an update to fix and improve queue issues reported by console players since the early access release.”
There isn’t much time to access this beta, and it’s a closed beta for those who pre-ordered the game. The beta will stop running tonight at 7pm GMT, but it’s not the end of the world if you miss it, as there’s an open beta starting on Friday 24th March and running until 26th March. Let’s hope the fixes work for that one, as we’ll likely see more players rushing in.
Diablo 4 debuted at BlizzCon in 2019, and last year it was confirmed that the game would launch on June 6, 2023. It should be noted that any progress you make in these two betas won’t carry over to the final game release, so don’t worry too much about leveling up your characters. One thing you should definitely do, though, is consider playing the game in expert mode.
