Blizzard released a developer diary, in which the Diablo 4 team discusses the progress of the endgame.
As you progress through the story, you’ll unlock a plethora of activities that can significantly boost your player’s progress by engaging in various experiences.
After completing the campaign, you can take part in higher difficulty world levels by completing Capstone Dungeons, where your characters will gain more loot and advantages.
Endgame also offers more opportunities to refine your character with the Paragon system, which goes beyond the initial skill tree to make your character build unique. Choose a path, and choose the buffs and glyphs you want to pursue based on your playstyle.
You’ll also add to the Codex of Power by finding aspects hidden in dungeons. Turn these found items into more powerful legendary items.
Up for a challenge? Turn a dungeon into one of nightmares. There are more than 120 dungeons in Sanctuary, any of which can be a nightmare dungeon. To activate, use Nightmare Sigils for more difficult objectives and challenges to the dungeon of your choice.
After the event, you’ll find stronger monsters roaming the place. If you defeat these monsters in the Helltide area, you’ll be rewarded with shards that can be used to buy big rewards in the cache.
You can also collect bounties in the Whispering Tree called Whispers of the Dead. After completing the bounty, go back up the tree and get a large cache of rewards.
For those who prefer PvP, you can race in aggro fields or complete quests to collect shards to purify in town. Purified Fragment holders will be rewarded, but beware: all players venturing into the Fields are at risk, as other players are looking for some PvP.
Diablo 4 will continue to be updated long after release, so look forward to having more fun in Sanctuary.
The game is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on June 6.
