Blizzard has officially announced the upcoming Diablo 4 collaboration with Berserkone of the most legendary manga series of all time.

Diablo 4 & Berserk Join Forces in a Brutal Crossover

Diablo 4 recently revealed The Season of Hatreda content roadmap that will stretch all the way to 2026.
So far, fan reception has been mixed—aside from a hilarious comment from Elon Musk—with criticism that the updates feel like “more of the same” to many players.

That might all change now, as Blizzard has revealed the mysterious crossover with another IP teased in their roadmap: none other than the Berserk manga.

The official Diablo X/Twitter account released an animated trailer revealing content based on the manga created by Kentaro Miura.

The trailer shows a Barbarian marked with the Brand of Sacrificewielding a replica of the Dragon Slayer Swordand donning the Berserker Armor—all iconic elements tied to Berserk‘s protagonist, Guts.

What to Expect

This marks the first crossover with an external IP in Diablo’s history—and Blizzard couldn’t have chosen a more epic and blood-soaked partner.

Although the trailer doesn’t explicitly mention which games are involved, it does reference iOS and Androidsuggesting the event will appear in both Diablo 4 and Diablo Immortal.

Blizzard hasn’t yet shared a release date or detailed content plans for the crossover.
Still, fans are already speculating: themed skins, weapons, missions, or even enemies inspired by Miura’s dark universe could be on the way.

What is Berserk?

Berserk tells the story of Gutsa lone warrior traveling through a world of horrors, driven by vengeance against his former friend and leader, Griffithwho betrayed him and became a demonic entity.

The manga is a cult classic in both anime and manga history. Its influence can be seen across countless video games—from Dark Souls to Elden Ring.

Its brutal tone, unrelenting violence, and unique exploration of trauma and survival have made Guts an icon—and his world a cornerstone of modern dark fantasy.

Since its debut in 1989, Berserk has sold over 60 million copies worldwide, with multiple anime adaptations continuing to grow its legacy.

Although creator Kentaro Miura sadly passed away in 2021, his legacy lives on through the continuation of the manga by his friend Kouji Mori and a team of close assistants.

Berserk and Video Games: A History

Berserk has had several of its own games over the years, the most recent being Berserk and the Band of the Hawk (2016)—a Musou-style title developed by Omega Forcecombining the manga’s story with the gameplay of Dynasty Warriors.

The series has also seen releases on classic consoles like Dreamcast and PlayStation 2though many titles were never released outside of Japan.

Coming in Diablo 4 Season 8

This crossover is part of Season 8 in Diablo 4, which promises to revamp endgame bosses and reintroduce Belialone of the most memorable villains from Diablo 3.

And one more thing: according to the roadmap, this won’t be the only external franchise crossing over with Diablo. Blizzard is still keeping future collabs under wraps—so the gates of Hell may open even wider soon.
