Diablo Immortal: Everything You Need to Know About the Doomed Realm
A little over three weeks before the release of Diablo Immortal, Blizzard published an article on its blog yesterday about the kingdom of damnation
The Realm of Doom is a demon lord’s personal hell. This zone is in the Underworld, and Skarn, the diabolical genius in search of the fragments of the stone world, acts (repeatedly) as judge, jury and executioner.
In the blog article there are interventions from his voice actor (Steve Blum) as well as the general atmosphere that we will find in this kingdom of damnation. Also, Blizzard devotes an entire paragraph to Skarn, explaining that we don’t know much about him even in game:
When the primordial demons were defeated in Diablo II, war raged in the underworld and none really stood out, although Azmodan and Belial had claimed vast kingdoms of their own. Skarn was then able to evolve successfully, but demonologists cannot say with certainty whether he himself was leading an army or whether he simply used this conflict as an opportunity to conquer certain areas of the Hells. Most specialists don’t even know his name.
They also explain how to rethink certain landscapes so as not to fall into repetition:
We want to limit landscapes that are too reminiscent of the Underworld, although you shouldn’t end up wondering if you’re in Hell or not… But the different areas on the Diablo Immortal maps are huge, and we have it heart to offer you a variety of visuals so that your adventure always stays as interesting as it is
Kingdom of Damnation: Activities Like No Other?
except his master The Kingdom of Damnation full of many other things. On the subject, Blizzard indicates that the activities of the kingdom will be similar to those of the other areas of Diablo Immortal: caves, bonuses, events and quests will be presented to the players. However, it has its own dungeon. Called The Pits of Fear“, it is full of abysmal gigantuas and even contains”the bloodiest fight in the game‘ according to Blizzard.
In any case, we’ll be able to fully appreciate this “altered” vision of the Underworld once Diablo Immortal is released. The title is expected for iOS and Android on June 2nd, pre-registrations are already available. An open beta will also be available on the same date for players interested in the PC version of the title.
