The Diablo IV Closed and Open Betas have been a resounding success for Blizzard, at least in terms of pure player numbers. But of course the test phases didn’t just have the purpose of amusing the fans. You also want to learn from them and the developers seem to have that. Now they’re talking about endgame and skill respecs.
After the closed and open beta for Diablo IV, many fans are appeased. The action role-playing game is based on earlier parts, offers a well thought-out combat system and the optics are again much darker than in the third part. The amount of legendary loot surprised many players, but the Blizzard developers have already stated that the drop rate for the test phases has been increased.

But how does the further planning until the release look like? First, there will be a developer stream in April where the studio has some information for us. Adam Fletcher, Global Community Development Director for the Diablo series, announced the first contents of the transmission on Twitter.
So it’s about the general progression and also the endgame system of Diablo IV. So let’s wait and see what the developers have to say about paragon boards, hell flood, nightmare dungeons, whispers of the dead or the fields of hate. In addition, they want to go into the lessons learned from the two betas.
Rod Fergusson also had something to say. His tweet was about the umskill mechanics, which were still very gracious in the beta. Apparently some fans were suspicious and asked how she would look like in the finished game. Here’s what he says: “It won’t be overly expensive, and we’ve simplified the mechanics by allowing players to reset a single skill point or the entire tree.”
We will know more details on June 6, 2023 at the latest. On this day, after a long wait, Diablo IV will finally be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
