Digimon Survive is the newest offshoot of the anime of the same name and takes a different path than its predecessors. The battles take place in the form of turn-based strategy battles, similar to the games in the Final Fantasy Tactics series. There are also major deviations from the predecessors when it comes to staging the story: It is more oriented to the genre of visual novels and is mostly told in still images and text boxes instead of in the form of video sequences.
In 2021, Digimon Survive is to be released for the Playstation 4, Switch, Xbox One and the PC.
