Halo co-creator Lehto has long been working on a new first-person shooter with a sci-fi setting. Today, the developer studio, together with Take-Two's private division, announced the release date for Disintegration – and it's not that far away anymore.
As of June 16, 2020, disintegration should be available as a digital version at a price of 49.99 euros for PC, PS4 and Xbox One; PS4 Pro and Xbox One X are of course also supported. Pre-orders are possible for Xbox One and PC via Steam.
The peculiarity of the new sci-fi shooter is certainly that real-time strategy elements are also used. You find yourself in a world shaken by hunger and resource scarcity. Driven to the brink of destruction, mankind has developed a process to face the brutal reality: integration. In this process, a human brain is planted in a fully functional robot body. But out of the chaos of a dying world rose a militaristic group that is now aggressively and by all means enforcing this process, once on a voluntary basis. The Rayonne embraced integration and used it to subdue the rest of humanity.
You take on the role of Romer Shoal, a capable gravcycle pilot who leads a small group of outlaws against the overwhelming Rayonne. In the single player campaign you swing on a fully equipped Gravcycle to lead a crew in various missions against the Rayonne and to show the last remnants of humanity that resistance is not hopeless. You can find the right story trailer below.
In addition to the single player part, a PvP multiplayer with three different modes and six different maps is also included.
