Disney’s Valley of Dreams just recently shared its 2023 roadmap, and the first of its future plans has already begun.Today, February 6th, players will be able to compete with Encanto’s two mirabel and frozen Olaf.
Today’s update marks the planned February update Disney Fantasy Valley, we won’t get another one until April. In an interview with Polygon, lead producer Manea Castet shared some interesting information about Dreamlight Valley and how the updates come together.

Olaf is described as having “some of the best quests they’ve ever devised” that will specifically expand the story of the Frosted Heights biome. While Castet didn’t go into detail about what those missions would include, he did point to The Lion King’s scars and his quests.
These quests took us to a previously undiscovered part of the map; an underground mine where we searched for extra sodas and new materials. “This is something we hope to continue doing in the next update, exploring new areas of the valley,” Castet said.
As for Encanto’s Mirabel and her arrival in Disney’s Valley of Lights, Castet described her as an “introductory character,” meaning players can encounter her early in the game. If you’ve seen Encanto, you might also remember their family home, Casa Madrigal (also known as Casita), and the strange fact that it was sentient. Disney Dreamlight Valley hasn’t forgotten that either!
Mirabel will “bring her own version of Casita into the game – a mini Casita”, I don’t know about you, but I think a sentient, talking home would fit the whole valley.
Last but not least, today’s February update for Disney’s Dream Valley also introduces new star trails. This special season pass will focus on Disney’s 100th anniversary, with assets that Castet described as some of the “most beautiful” the team has ever created. There will also be brand new furniture and decor, and even a brand new pet with an adorable hat that you can unlock as a companion.
Disney Dreamlight Valley is still in early access, and for anyone who likes The Sims games, whether you’re a Disney adult or not, it’s honestly a ball of a ball. If you’re not a fan of characters from Encanto and Frozen, the alien Stitch also lives in the valley with The Lion King’s antagonist, Scar.
