Disney Dream Valley Just launched, but with the announcement of the Toy Story realm, the promise of new content has emerged.
Currently at D23, the Disney event announces a plethora of upcoming movies, TV shows, merchandise and games owned by the media group. It’s a little surprising that new content has already been announced, considering that Disney’s Dreamlight Valley actually only launched this week, but either way, there’s a Toy Story realm coming to the game this fall.
A trailer was released show ing the realm in action, and unsurprisingly, it’s set in a children’s room, but it doesn’t appear to be Andy’s room, with your player character zoomed out to get the toy’s perspective. The trailer shows a couple of new outfits your character can wear, a denim outfit that’s clearly Woody themed, and another Buzz-themed that looks like something you’d wear during Space Command’s downtime .
What you’ll actually do in this new realm hasn’t been revealed, but generally spending time playing with a few toys never did anyone any harm, unless that toy was called Chucky.
Toy Story Woody and Buzz are already in the base game, but outside of the toy-themed realm, they’re actually toy-sized, making this new realm a fun way to hang out with cowboys and space rangers without stepping on their risk.
D23 also made many other game announcements, such as Disney Illusion Island, a very rayman legend skin Co-op platformer exclusive to Nintendo Switch. Uncharted director Amy Heinig’s next game has also finally been officially revealed, starring Captain America and Black Panther, an early incarnation of the character and T’Challa’s grandfather, in a World War II setting.
