In season 2 of the Fallout series, Lucy (Ella Purnell) and the ghoul (Walton Goggins) to New Vegasthat much is clear from the end of season 1. However, it was not yet known whether the two were just making a stopover there or whether New Vegas would be a main setting for the next episodes.
In an interview with The Wrap The showrunners and writers of the Amazon series, Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner, now answer this question.
New Vegas in Staffel 2
In the interview, author Geneva Robertson-Dworet expresses her admiration for Fallout: New Vegas and its setting:
New Vegas is a game that we really admire in so many ways. There is so much mythology in this game that we are really excited to be able to explore. […]
When you work on something for so long, you naturally hope to eventually be able to wander into the rooms of all those games. But New Vegas has so many great ideas and so much fun. And at the same time, it’s very dark.
Graham Wagner finally comments on the importance of the city in season 2:
We will definitely be hanging out in the world of New Vegas and getting pretty involved with this installment in the series.
This doesn’t sound like you’re going to want to move on after just one episode. In fact, New Vegas is likely to be quite important, and the writers want to get a lot out of the setting.
For fans, this is of course particularly exciting because the Fallout series must inevitably reveal which ending of New Vegas is now canon: Does the Courier rule the City of Sin? Or is Mr. House still in charge? Could the NCR or even the Legion claim New Vegas for themselves? Let’s wait and see.

With New Vegas as the setting, Fallout Season 2 could be a feast for fans. The first episodes were full of details and Easter eggs from the games, and players should feel at home in the new territory. An iconic monster that we have to deal with in Fallout will also make an appearance.
