Metroid Prime 4 Still under development, Nintendo Has confirmed in the spotlight to focus on the latest game in the series, Metroid fear.
Nintendo announced at its E3 2021 show that Metroid Prime 4 is still in development, which seems to reassure fans that they have been worried about the radio silence surrounding the game since the development of the project was restarted two years ago.
“Before we show the next trailer, I want to say one thing,” Nintendo senior executive Shinya Takahashi said in the demo. “We are working hard to develop the latest game Metroid Prime 4 in the Metroid Prime series that we announced earlier.”
This is a recurring note before the announcement of another major title: Metroid Dread, a new 2D entry in the series will be launched later this year.
Metroid Prime 4 was announced as early as 2017 E3 and did not appear in the 2018 event because it was not ready to show off. The gaming radio was silent for more than a year before Nintendo announced that it had resumed development.
At the time, Takahashi explained that “it did not meet the standard” [Nintendo seeks in] The sequel to the Metroid Prime series”, and the final version will “fight side by side with past Metroid Prime series games.”
Soon after the announcement, producer Kensuke Tanabe was appointed to work with Retro Studios, and the game started from the beginning.
Metroid Prime 4 is being developed by Retro Studios, and the newly released Metroid Dread is being developed by MercurySteam-so if you think the existence of this recently released game means bad news for the troubled Metroid Prime sequel, please don’t worry.
Metroid Prime 4 still has no release date.
