The new DOOM Eternal soundtrack is loaded with a lot of heavy metal. It is just as heavy as DOOM 2016, Mick Gordon assures us, the composer of both soundtracks. This is thanks to a heavy metal choir composed of 20 people.
In the interview, Mick Gordon comments have given it a unique and own approach, besides telling us a little about the experience that was to put that choir together. He says that to achieve this they made a great call, inviting many singers of all kinds of heavy metal to join.
The choir was reduced to 20 vocalists from a variety of bands and backgrounds. In the end it is a fairly even division of men and women, and incorporates singers from trap metal to Mongolian metal. They are clearly legitimate, given that many of them come from better known bands within the world, such as Accursed Creator, Aphotica and Aborted.
In the video they show some of the choir songs in addition to the interview. If you like the DOOM saga, this next installment it's going to be bigger, more complicated and bloodier than ever. If you want to know our opinion, recently we had the opportunity to play it and have our own impressions.
At the moment Bethesda estimates that DOOM Eternal will last twice as long as DOOM 2016.
