In most game versions, Doom Eternal will maintain its smooth 60fps.
One of the most defining aspects of Doom 2016 is its commitment to 60fps gameplay. Eternal doom. id Tech chief engine programmer Billy Khan confirmed this on Twitter over the weekend.
Khan lists PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X as running at that frame rate target. Of course, there is no Nintendo Switch in the list, which is not surprising considering that the Switch port of Doom 2016 runs at 30fps.
PS4, PS4 PRO, XB1, XB1S and XB1X all run at 60FPS.

Id Software also previously confirmed that the Switch version of Doom Eternal will run at 30fps. For obvious reasons, the PC is also lost. However, due to the engine upgrade of id Tech 7, the PC version is ready to run at 1,000 fps, and the id on the test PC can even reach around 400fps.
Khan's tweet did not answer the resolution question, but more powerful game consoles may run at resolutions above 1080p. We need to wait for the final code to find the exact number.
If you're getting a PC version, be sure to check out the PC specs recently released for the game.
Doom Eternal will be available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on March 20. The Switch version has not yet been released.
