When is Doom Patrol season 4 coming?

“Doom Patrol” Season 4 premieres on HBO Max on December 8, 2022. It kicks off with two episodes, followed by a new episode every week through January 5, 2023. 6 more episodes await us in the course of 2023. As usual, each episode will be 40-60 minutes long and will tell individual completed adventures, but also an overarching story.

In Germany it is difficult to predict when the new episodes will start on Amazon Prime Video. Season 1 started almost half a year after the US release, we only waited three months for Season 2 and Season 3 even took almost a whole year.

Since Amazon always releases the new seasons in one go in this country, we will definitely have to wait until HBO Max has released all episodes of the 4th season. We currently expect the German start of “Doom Patrol” season 4 to be in August 2023 at the earliest.

One of Doom Patrol’s greatest mysteries is how the superheroes managed to live so long. After all, some members of the team – like Negative Man/Larry Trainor (Matt Bomer and Matthew Zuk) and Rita Farr (April Bowlby) – have been part of the Doom Patrol for decades. You could attribute her longevity to a side effect of her superpowers, but what’s really going on?

Well, the new Season 4 trailer promises that the upcoming episodes will answer that question.

What will ‘Doom Patrol’ Season 4 be about?

In the future, Season 4 forces the Doom Patrol to question whether they should fight for their own happiness or the future of humanity. Also, we finally see Brendan Fraser as Robotman without his steely exterior! A big novelty in the series, because until now the ex-racing driver was trapped in the robot’s body.

Willoughby Kipling asks the team what was probably in the room for many episodes for many viewers. Why does the team always look the same, never a day older and that for decades? Season 4 should explicitly address this question and thus ensure crazy time travel adventures.

Also in the trailer by Kipling the name Immortus falls. A big announcement, because Immortus was a powerful member of the Brotherhood of Evil in the comics. The series should change this a bit because instead there is talk of the “Immortus Project”.

This is said to embody “the quest for immortality” and is likely to be the most powerful threat to the “Doom Patrol” to date. Plus, it’s a guarantee for the most bizarre and endearing time travel episodes and storylines that await us in Season 4.
