Bandai Namco announced Dragon Ball: Destroyer, An asymmetric online survival action experience, set in the Dragon Ball Xenoverse universe, scheduled to be released sometime in 2022.
The game is an eight-player online multiplayer game that combines cooperative and competitive modes, full of asymmetric online survival actions.
Breakers consists of a 7v1 competition, in which seven normal “survivors” are sucked into a mysterious phenomenon called “Seam of Time”. Here, they must contend with the overwhelming power of the eighth player, the iconic competitor of the franchise, the “predator,” whose mission is to eliminate the team of survivors.
Survivors do not have any superpowers. They must rely on various props, weapons and drivable vehicles to fight against Raider and avoid Raider, while looking for Super Time Machine to escape. At the same time, Raider will be able to play Cell, Buu or Frieza.
The survivor character customization mode will enable players to design their match avatars using familiar Dragon Ball survivor skins and decorative equipment, which are obtained through in-game points or through optional in-game purchases.
In addition, the game will link the saved data with Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.
A closed beta test will be conducted on the PC to allow players to get in touch with the game as soon as possible. The publisher will share detailed information about the registration soon.
Dragon Ball: The Breakers will be able to buy PC, PS4, Switch and Xbox One from physical retailers. It will be compatible with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
