“Dune” ends with a cliffhanger – no wonder, since the film is only based on the first half of the novel “The Desert Planet”. So what happens next in Part 2 in 2024?

Director Denis Villeneuve confidently called his first “Dune” film “Dune – Part One” in the opening credits, although a sequel wasn’t even certain at that point. A large and expensive production like “Dune” first had to prove itself at the box office and fortunately Warner Bros. was happy with the box office results.
“Dune 2” is coming, the sequel will start in cinemas on February 29, 2024. Luckily, because anyone who has already seen “Dune” knows that the story is actually just beginning and that there are still a few questions unanswered.
While “Dune” only adapted the first half of Frank Herbert’s novel “The Desert Planet”, Part 2 will take care of the rest of the book. On the following pages we will reveal what awaits you in “Dune 2”.
Don’t worry, we won’t spoil the whole story, we’ll just show how Paul’s journey on Arrakis continues and which characters from the first film will continue to be relevant. However, if you haven’t seen “Dune” yet, you shouldn’t read any further from now on!
