The survival mmo dune: Awakening is now a little longer a long time than planned. The release date was postponed by a few weeks.
Everything was actually prepared: On May 20, 2025, you should be able to go to Arrakis in Dune: Awakening in order to dust off and simply survive in the survival MMO on the desert planet. But now nothing will become of it, because the release date had to be postponed again at a very short notice.
As Funcom now confirmed via social media, the release of the game on the PC is now slipping a few weeks. Dune: Awakening is now planned for June 10, 2025 for this platform, whereby the early access starts from June 5, 2025. The console version also has no concrete release date.
As a reason, Funcom states that you want to give the development team “a little more time to cook”. In addition, changes based on the beta feedback should also be made.
The persistent closed beta continues in the meantime and also regularly receives new updates. The collected feedback in this beta also contributes to the fact that the title can actually start as a quality game.
Despite everything, the decision to postpone the release date was not taken lightly. However, the team will enable the three weeks of additional time to make necessary improvements.
