You don’t want to miss any sports highlights while cooking and want to stream Dyn on your Echo Show? That’s possible – but only indirectly.
Away from the football mainstream, sports streaming service Dyn serves fans of handball, volleyball, basketball and table tennis with coverage of an unprecedented scale. Anyone who is fixated on one of these sports in Germany should certainly be interested in the offer – but how can you actually receive it?
For the Amazon Echo Show, only a few streaming services are available directly as a skill, including of course the in-house service Prime Video and Netflix. Accordingly, it is not surprising that so far no skill for Dyn subscribers brings the streaming service’s live coverage to the Echo Show screen.
An exception is the Echo Show 15 with its Fire TV interface, because the Dyn app is now also available on the Fire TV Stick and can therefore also be installed on the Echo Show 15. But you can also get the service to work on other Echo models.
Dyn runs on the Echo Show – but only via the browser
While clicking on a streaming skill or opening a stream via Alexa voice command is particularly convenient on the Echo Show, this only works for an extremely limited offering, which Dyn is not currently part of.
The solution here, as with waipu.tv, Zattoo, Joyn and other streaming services, is always the same: With the pre-installed Silk browser, Dyn’s offerings can also be streamed on the Amazon Echo Show.
