Game news E3 2021: Avatar: Ubisoft’s game convinced Disney to let Massive develop a Star Wars

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is presented and expected as a technical showcase for Ubisoft somewhere in 2022. If it could coincide with the theatrical release of James Cameron’s second film. Developed by Massive, the title seems ambitious, but it’s not the content we’re talking about today. Indeed, it appears that by showing Avatar to Disney officials, Massive convinced the American company to entrust them with the development of a Star Wars gameannounced a few months ago. The information comes straight from the source as it is Sean Shoptaw de Walt Disney games
:
The first meeting with Massive all about the Avatar game after the acquisition of Fox was really the crucial point for the Star Wars game. There was so much creative passion surrounding the team’s Star Wars license that it was only the natural evolution of our partnership and it really led to the Star Wars game we recently announced.
It also appears that this mysterious Star Wars game is in development at Ubisoft either an open world game because the franchise doesn’t have one yet, and that Ubisoft understands the subject. Unfortunately, while Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was well presented during E3, it wasn’t Star Wars. It will therefore be necessary to be patient.
