The Capcom conference for E3 2021 took place this Monday evening with no major announcements. The publisher was happy to reveal some new information about already released games (Monster Hunter Rise, Resident Evil Village) and other already dated games (Monster Hunter Stories 2, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles).
Spotlight on Monster Hunter Stories 2 and The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles
Capcom mainly focused on the next two major releases. First of all, the turn-based RPG Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin a new four-minute trailer
For his part, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles has two trailers. The first presents the protagonists of this compilation, namely Ryunosuke Naruhodo, ancestor of Phoenix Wright, and detective Herlock Sholmes. The second Reveals two new game mechanics: “Dance of Deduction”, which consists of finding and correcting Herlock’s mistakes during the investigation phases, and “Summation Examination”, a face-to-face conversation with the judges. The game will be released on July 27th for PC, PS4 and Switch as a souvenir and will only be translated into English.
Resident Evil Re: Verse is coming in July, DLC planned for Resident Evil Village
“By popular demand, additional content development for Resident Evil Village has only just begun. We’ll tell you more soon!” With this laconic press release, Capcom announced the arrival of a first DLC for the latest opus in the saga without even showing a picture or mentioning its contents. However, owners of the game have Meet up in July to discover Resident Evil Re: Verse.
A new roadmap for Monster Hunter Rise
Finally, Capcom took advantage of this conference to an update on the next updates of Monster Hunter Rise. An event quest will appear on June 18 to receive special armor that will transform your Palico into a Tsukino from Monster Hunter Stories 2 with new special armor, voices and emotes. Starting July 9th, those with a Monster Hunter Stories 2 save will receive special “Rider” armor. Finally, updates 3.2 and 3.3 are planned for the end of July and August, respectively. They each bring a new Capcom collaboration, event quests, and DLC.
