The companies announced today (October 31) that they have entered into a long-term agreement to “develop at least three new action games for consoles and PC.”Each game will feature an original story in the Marvel Universe, the first be ing the recently announced Iron Man title, which is in the works Motivation Studio
No details were provided for the other games, the only thing confirmed is that they are all action games. “We’ve always been huge fans of Marvel and its impressive leadership, so great for our developers and our players and players,” EA Chief Operating Officer Laura Miele said in a statement. The team behind the Iron Man game is led by Olivier Proulx, who does have some experience with Marvel while working on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. In the untitled game, you’ll experience the original story of “Mining Iron Man’s History,” where you’ll be able to truly experience Tony Stark’s alter ego.
Insider Gaming also reported yesterday (October 30) that playtesting for the Iron Man game begins today, with the initial playtest scheduled to end on November 2. As Insider Gaming points out, these playtests may not be like your average QA session, and more about trying to get feedback on plot points, game mechanics, and more.
