EA announces the development of three games at Respawn

Several games from the Star Wars universe are in development all over the place: we call it an open secret. But we just found out that Electronic Arts is responsible for three of them through Respawn Studio.

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order was a resounding success among fans of the space opera saga. Aware that Star Wars is in good hands with the Respawn studio, EA has apparently entrusted the team with three more games. The news came via Twitter:

We’re excited to officially announce THREE new Star Wars games in the works at Respawn.

Game Director Stig Asmussen and his team are working on the next game in the Fallen Order series, which is known to be in development. But two new teams have just been assembled for two new games, including a first-person shooter

and a strategy game. The latter was developed thanks to a production collaboration with the new Bit Reactor studio, which you recently talked about here. So we can expect a turn-based tactics game without getting too wet.

Work on these three projects has already begun, and Respawn is looking for talent to join the teams. For more information on available vacancies, see respawn careers. While many positions are open, the Californians are primarily looking for artists, game designers and developers by the dozen. Yes, dozens. It’s been a long time since the Star Wars universe had the right to an actual FPS or strategy game, a prospect that might make you daydream… No?
