A phenomenal success since 2012 for this EA game
Launched in 2012 on iOS and Android, The Simpsons: Tapped Out offered players the task of rebuilding Springfield after a nuclear disaster caused by the inevitable Homer Simpson. The game quickly became a must-have mobile device. In just two years, the company has generated sales of over $130 million. Out of, Knocked out Received hundreds of updates. EA announced the game’s ending in an emotional message on the official Facebook page The Simpsons: Tapped Out. “It’s been a remarkable journey,” the studio said. With 308 updates, 831 characters and over 1,463 quests, The Simpsons: Tapped Out shaped the history of mobile games. EA wanted to thank the players. Especially for their loyalty and commitment over these many years.
In-app purchases have already been disabled and the game will be removed from app stores on October 31, 2024. However, players can still enjoy their virtual Springfield until January 24, 2025. From this point on, the servers will be permanently closed. So there is still a little time to say goodbye to this city that is so dear to the fans of the series. It’s always a bit sad when a game closes its doors. And it doesn’t matter how much time we spent on it.
