The success story of the action epic Elden Ring simply continues. From Software’s title has scooped another prestigious award.
The action role-playing game Elden Ring is still on the road to success and shows no signs of slowing down in any way. Now the successful title was able to grab another prestigious award and fill the closet with Game-of-the-Year awards.
In this case, the game was given the honor of being named Game of the Year at the 12th edition of the New York Game Awards. At the beginning of January, the title had already surpassed The Last of Us: Part II in terms of the most such awards for a video game of all time – and this lead is now being extended further.
The New York Game Awards is an annual event hosted by the New York Videogame Critics Circle. This is a non-profit organization dedicated to gaming journalism in and around the Big Apple.
In addition to winning Best Game of the Year, Elden Ring also scooped the Statue of Liberty Award for Best Game World at the January 17 show. It was also the only title that was honored as the winner in two categories at the award ceremony.
The indie award there went to Vampire Survivors, God of War Ragnarök won Best Writing, and Marvel Snap won Best Mobile Game.
Elden Ring, meanwhile, now has 325 Game of the Year Awards with the new award, putting it three ahead of The Last of Us: Part II.
