It’s finally out: Elden Ring is coming – in the not too distant future! A new trailer is already in the mood for the next From software game.
We had to wait a long time, fear and tremble, but now we disciples of Souls have finally been redeemed: At the Summer Game Fest, From Software announced that Elden Ring will be released on January 21, 2022
Among other things, you could see new mounts, boss opponents as high as a house, as you are used to from the Souls series, and an extensive game world that was announced a few months ago. There were also different areas such as wide plains, castle ruins, nocturnal forests and gloomy caves to be seen.
At first glance, the fights seemed faster than in Dark Souls and reminded of a mixture of Sekiro and Bloodborne. The use of magic was also briefly hinted at in the trailer and should complement the classic sword fight.
It was also mentioned that we will look for the Elden Ring as a so-called “Tarnished”. What exactly that is, however, remains a secret. Since the story for Elden Ring is conceived by George RR Martin and Hidetaka Miyazaki together, we of course expect an exciting revelation. But now it’s first: watch the trailer in an endless loop and speculate!
Elden Ring will be released on January 21, 2021 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Series X | S.
