Things are happening again at Elden Ring. Patch 1.07, a new update that implements some fan requests, was released yesterday. Dataminer also discovered further indications of a DLC.
A new patch for Elden Ring is here and it should be very well received by quite a few fans. The biggest change is the introduction of separate damage scaling for PvP. This feature allows separate damage scaling for weapons, skills, spells, and summons when playing against other players. In the future, this feature can be used to balance weapons, arts, spells and summons in Invasion/PvP mode.
So in the future, you won’t have to worry about your favorite solo builds getting completely messed up when From Software makes adjustments for PvP again. Among other things, the effect of Ashes of War was reduced in the patch, but only for PvP. Also included in the patch are various bug fixes and rebalancing as well as some skills.
Quite a few fans are now assuming that 1.07 is the preparation for the long-awaited DLC. And indeed, dataminers found some references to new maps in the code. “The new maps are m20, and m45 … m20 has same numbering as Legacy dungeons, m45 is brand new…”, says one Tweet von Souls-Veteran Lance McDonald. Indications of ray tracing have also been discovered, which could mean that graphical improvements will also be coming along with a DLC.
