FromSoftware rolls out a new patch Eldon Ring earlier this morning. Patch 1.06 isn’t the biggest patch in the game so far, but it does bring some tweaks to the game’s mechanics.
In addition to that, and the usual slew of bug fixes, the patch also tweaks White Mask Vale’s questline so that it can be done without invading other players.
The first new feature in update 1.06 is Expanded range of summoning signs. Players can now send their tokens to multiple summoning pools, making it easier for them to get matched. You can even do this in “backcountry”, but that doesn’t include Mohgwyn Palace.

Previously, in order to complete the quest, players had to make multiple hacks into real players’ games, something that many players were not interested in. Varre’s quest is the only quest in the Elden Ring with a PvP component.
However, thanks to today’s patch, you’ll be able to progress the quest by defeating the aforementioned NPCs. The invasion part of the questline is still an option.
Even more interesting than the new content and features is the impact 1.06 has on game balance.This update uses Greatsword, Curved Greatsword, Great Hammer and Great Axe worth. A major problem with these heavy weapons is how long it takes you to be able to roll after an attack.
FromSoft did it Scroll after attack to start faster Use these weapons, although this does not include jump attacks, dual wielding, and mounted combat. Attack animations for Heavy and Charge attacks have also been sped up, as are Guard counterattacks.
