are you in trouble NPC raider exist Eldon Ring? Are you still worrying about how to beat them? Do you send bosses and dogs and all kinds of weird stuff (read: giant crabs) with ease but can’t handle some of the influencers in the roundtable? Well, don’t worry, you’re not the only one.
Seems like a lot of players have issues with NPC invaders. More than some of the hulking, tall bosses you’ve fought in the game before. In our own guide to the best Elden Ring armors, we note that you can dispatch them any way you want. “The spam jump attack after jumping off the table works – just remember to roll at them when they start the magic attack to avoid them and keep the pressure up,” advises our very own James.
But if you’re still struggling, don’t worry – a Reddit user named Elden_Ring_Guides has come up with a foolproof cheese that will make the task easy for this dummy (and others like it).
Cheese basically consists of you rushing towards the spawn point of NPC intruders, then spamming your flail nonstop to trap the intruder and lock it in a small damage prison until death. It’s all very Elden Ring, isn’t it?
This is easier to do with the round table raider since you know exactly where he will spawn, but it can be tricky for other NPCs that invade you in the open world. You can always lose the first encounter and come back with a flail to stun them at their spawn point.
If you need a flail yourself, you can find one at Gatefront Ruins; find the wagon near the area (you’ll get there if you follow the main path the game pushes you) and investigate nearby houses. In one of the chests there, you’ll find a flail – no surprise, but it will work for this exploit. Just make sure you have the proper strength and agility to use it properly.
