One of the most anticipated games is Elden Ring from the Dark Souls creators of From Software. After all, Game of Thrones creator George RR Martin also has a hand in the project. However, there has been nothing new about the title for a long time – but that should change soon.
The pleading of the numerous fans of Elden Ring for fresh information, impressions and possibly a release date could now possibly be answered soon. According to the latest rumors, there could even be fresh information in the new month of March.
Background: The usually well-informed Microsoft insider Paul Thurrott now let via Twitter announced that the Redmond company has apparently planned the next big gaming event around the Xbox for March 23, 2021.
Microsoft is apparently holding a “what’s new for gaming” event on March 23.

Thurrott is hitting the same line as Jeff Grubb, an equally reliable source who had also spoken of an Xbox Games Showcase in March 2021. Possibly the upcoming Bethesda content for the Xbox Series X / S should also be discussed, for example the sci-fi epic Starfield.
What does this have to do with Elden Ring? The new game from the Dark Souls makers seems to be a hot candidate for that Xbox event. Two trustworthy insiders who were right in the past bring information and impressions from the long-awaited title into play soon.
One of them is again Jeff Grubb, who says in the new edition of the GamesBeat Decides podcast that he is expecting fresh information about the game in the course of March. He jumps to his side Kotaku-Insider Jason Schreier, who says there is “strong evidence” that there will be news about Elden Ring “pretty soon”.
