The FIFA publisher will not be at E3 2022 and is canceling its usual EA Play Live meeting. Instead, Electronic Arts will make its own announcements when the time is right.

A new blow to E3 2022, which is getting weaker month by month? After wanting to continue taking place online, the American show has its first retreat and maybe not the last. In fact, Electronic Arts has indicated that it will not be organizing its EA Play Live 2022 conference.

The editor can’t, he has a swimming pool

The ax fell on our colleagueIGN where a spokesman for Electronic Arts announced accordingly the complete cancellation of EA Play Live 2022.

We love EA Play Live because it’s our way of communicating with players and sharing updates with all of you. This year, however, it’s not enough to show you everything in one event. We have exciting projects in development across all of our studios, and we’ll be revealing more as the time comes for each.. We look forward to spending more time with you throughout the year!

With this announcement, Electronic Arts shows that it doesn’t need E3 and is sending a strong signal that others may follow. In recent years, PlayStation has boycotted the high mass of video games because, according to the manufacturer, the show has lost its impact. Its reputation had also been tarnished by leaks of sensitive data such as journalists’ contact details that ended up on the internet.

Replaced EA Play Live with live streams in 2022

As we can see, the FIFA publisher isn’t boycotting the event because they’re out of bullets, preferring to do things at their own pace. We know that after the Dead Space Remake sound design livestream in May 2022, there will be another to discuss the art. That same month, EA could use the Star Wars celebration to formalize its Jedi Fallen Order 2 for good.

What do you think of Electronic Arts’ decision to avoid E3 2022? Is this another sign the salon is doomed? Is that a good thing for you? Tell us everything Remarks.
