This year you can also get more free games in the Epic Games Store at Christmas time.
For a long time now, the Epic Games Store has been offering one or more free PC games every Thursday – sometimes more well-known titles, sometimes smaller indie games. In winter, this is usually accompanied by the Mystery Game promotion, in which you can get even more games for free in a more limited time frame. As a rule, there are also several better-known titles included. This promo is returning again this year.
On the occasion of the release of the new free games this Thursday, Epic Games has now confirmed that the mystery game campaign will start in the new week from December 12th. Accordingly, for once it is not yet known which free game will be available next Thursday.
Experience shows that the campaign runs from mid-December to early January. How many games there will be in the winter of 2024/2025 has not yet been made public. The chances are not bad that all or some of the games within the campaign will be known in advance, as in the past these titles were mentioned in advance by well-known leakers.
Until the promotion starts next week, you can still get two PC games for free this week. On the one hand, this is the LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and on the other hand it is Bus Simulator 21.
