With Patch 0.12.4 Escape from Tarkov got some map changes to Interchange as well as two new gameplay mechanics and a skill reset – but no character wipe. The fans found a change so uncool that developers Battlestate Games immediately undone it – at least in part.
Battlestate listens to its fans & offers compromise
Update 0.12.4 was originally intended the level to use the flea market at 15 increase. Previously, rank 5 was enough to fall back on loot for sale by players who offer it for sale.
Fans criticized the increase in flea market access so sharply on Reddit, Twitter and the official Tarkov forum that Battlestate Games has now moved to weaken the change: after patch 0.12.4 was released, the developer announced on Twitter that the flea market is now accessible from level 10 will be – and not only from level 15.
We are making and made several changes already:
1. Ingame money disappearing bug must be fixed already (we are thinking about compensation for those who lost money).
2. Fleamarket gate is lowered to 10 LVL#EscapefromTarkov– Battlestate Games (@bstategames) March 12, 2020
A compromise with which fans can apparently reconcile: The excitement about the raised flea market level seems to have subsided, instead other aspects of update 0.12.4 are discussed: For example, the new weight mechanism is criticized. How satisfied the fans are with the interchange changes remains to be seen.
Why players criticized the later flea market access
Not all, but many players weren't too happy with the initial increase in flea market access from level 5 to 15. The community criticized, among other things, that the entry hurdle for one or the other Tarkov novice so that it could become "too high" if the game itself is already very difficult and demanding.
As a result, it was stated that it was only when the flea market opened that access to "really good weapons and equipment" was gained, whereas previously the goods had to be used by relatively low-level retailers. So a too high level for the use of the flea market would be a »Scissors between high and low level players« result – as described by player Spoona8, for example.

Escape From Tarkov Community Ranking: You love playing these maps
However, not every member of the Tarkov community shared this opinion: th3_ghost reported, for example, that various quests can reach level 15 "in around five hours" while MattyB-02 a difficult start »just belong to Escape from Tarkov« would.
The community was – in the truest sense of the word – divided regarding the balance change for Escape from Tarkov with Patch 0.12.4.
