An overpriced pay-to-win edition for Escape From Tarkov

But its popularity has just plummeted following the announcement of The Unheard Edition. A new version without physical content is sold for $250. A problem ? Not for the majority of players who seem ready to support Escape From Tarkov. The problem with this version is that, according to the community, there are too many pay-to-win elements, with poor balance to the detriment of players spending time to progress.
But it is “least serious” because what sparked the dust was the presence of a PvE mode exclusive to the Unheard Edition that lives up to its name. This content should have been offered to buyers of the latest edition of Edge of Darkness, which is now unavailable, as it promised one in particular “free access to all upcoming DLCs”

Escape From Tarkov players took to Reddit, X and the game’s Discord – which was closed – to express their anger. And BattleState’s response has been amazing to say the least. For them, this PvE mode is not DLC and they are therefore on the right track. They didn’t betray anyone. “DLC means additional downloadable content. PvE is a feature and a game mode.
